Ryan has over 20 years’ experience in ruminant nutrition and associated productions systems and supply chains. He has an undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Edinburgh and a PhD in Ruminant Nutrition and Production from Queen’s University, Belfast. Ryan has developed multiple programmes to improve production and economic efficiency, animal health and welfare, fertility and environmental sustainability across multiple sectors; beef, lamb and dairy. These programmes have pioneered market leading innovations in disease prevention and reduction in antibiotic usage as well as optimisation of meat quality.
